Albion boss Dean Wilkins has urged his players to halt their habit of starting games slowly at Nottingham Forest today.

The Seagulls came from behind again after conceding another early goal to beat Swindon 2-1 at Withdean on Saturday with a Nicky Forster double.

Wilkins believes the frustration of the Forest fans, angry with manager Colin Calderwood that they are heading for the play-offs rather than automatic promotion, could work to the advantage of his weary troops in front of a big crowd at the City Ground.

He said: "That is the one thing we have got in our favour - you suddenly find energy you didn't think you had in that kind of atmosphere. We are hoping that will play a part.

"The longer the game goes on and the longer you keep a clean sheet you definitely sense a tension in the home crowd at a club like that, so our first objective has got to be to keep it as tight as possible defensively throughout the side.

"We started slowly again on Saturday, which we have done now for the last few games. We cannot keep leaving ourselves to play catch-up but we did show incredible resilience again."

Gary Hart, handed his first start of the season at right-back in place of the suspended Andrew Whing, and the substituted Ian Westlake were among those feeling the effects of a hard-fought victory.

Wilkins said: "There was a fair degree of faitgue. We had a number of players at half-time who were struggling, like Westy. Harty came in for a rare game so he was feeling tired at the end and Kerry (Mayo) the same.

"Fozzie and Glenn Murray were clearly tired as well and we were hanging on a wee bit at the end. It was a really big win for us but we had to work very hard to get the three points and I will possibly make one or two changes, because we need some fresh bodies."

Forster, who has now scored 19 goals this season, said: "It's a big game for us, because Forest are a tough team. We cannot be in awe of them in any way and we have got to go and express ourselves.

"With the added experience of people like Thommo (Steve Thomson) and Michel (Kuipers) we have got to try and pull everyone together and work as a unit, because it will be a tough day."

Albion head for the East Midlands just one point and one place outside the play-off zone after extending their unbeaten home run in League One to ten games since Forest won 2-0 at Withdean in December.
