Maurice Malpas felt his side contributed to their own downfall as they lost a battle of set pieces.
Swindon scored from a corner, then conceded twice from free-kicks in a game from which Malpas felt they should have taken a point.
The Robins' boss said: "For 20 to 25 minutes we dominated. They changed their system and started to dominate a little bit.
"They scored two set peices, we got one.
"We've got a habit just now of giving stupid free-kicks away.
"Credit to the lad (Forster), he stuck the second one away well.
"In terms of overall football, there was nothing in the game at all so it's disappointing to go home with no points.
"Credit to the lads who were delivering the set pieces for both sides. They put good quality balls in and it was difficult to defend because of that and because of the wind."
