Albion are moving back into the loan market to cover for the loss of both first choice full-backs over Easter.

Matt Richards has been ruled out for between two and four weeks with a slight hamstring tear sustained in Saturday's home 1-0 victory over Doncaster.

Andrew Whing is available for tonight's visit to Huddersfield but he is suspended for Swindon's visit to Withdean on Saturday and next Monday's trip to Nottingham Forest.

Assistant manager Dean White said: "We were unfortunate enough to get an injury to Matt Richards and Whingy is now suspended from Saturday, so we have got to shuffle the pack and maybe look to bring people in.

"It does change things. We are looking at certain targets long-term but short-term it changes week in and week out.

"We have got people in mind if we can get them but at this time of year no one wants to let players go.

"We are finding that difficult but I am sure if possible we will try and get someone in before the weekend."

Albion have nine more days until the loan transfer deadline to bolster a squad which will move back into the play-off zone for the first time in four months if they complete a hat-trick of wins at the Galpharm Stadium tonight.

Kerry Mayo deputises for Richards and White is confident the defender will prove an able understudy once more on only his third start of the season.

White said: "Matt has been an important part of the run we've been on but it gives someone else an opportunity.

"Kerry came in and did fantastically on Saturday. He used all his experience and I'm really pleased for him.

"He has been a model pro. He hasn't always been playing but every time he has been given a chance he's done a job for us and on the training pitch he's got on with it."

How big a blow do you think losing Matt Richards will be to Albion's play-off hopes?
