Albion boss Dean Wilkins has told his team if they keep it clean they will topple high-flying Doncaster Rovers.

The Seagulls have shut out the opposition three times in an eight-match unbeaten home run in League One.

Wilkins is convinced a clean sheet for full-back Andrew Whing on the 150th start of his career will guarantee victory for his play-off chasers against second-placed Rovers at Withdean on Saturday, with front pair Nicky Forster and Glenn Murray in such good goalscoring form.

Wilkins said: "I keep saying to the players over the last few weeks if we keep a clean sheet we'll win the game. We are capable of scoring goals at any time.

"We are providing enough ammunition and creating enough chances and we are scoring, so the clean sheet for me is so important.

"I feel that gives us a massive chance of getting three points because at the moment we have two guys up front that look capable of scoring every time they get the ball."

Forster and Murray have bagged eight goals between them in nine starts together. Both were on target in Tuesday's 2-1 win at Walsall, which ended Albion's hoodoo of failing to beat sides at the top.

"What a great time to do it, at the business end of the season," Wilkins said. "Don't get me wrong, I would have liked to have done it earlier in the season but that was important for us going into the final run of games.

"It gives us great confidence and to do it having come from behind on a foul night weather wise and on a difficult pitch gives us even more confidence."

Albion, likely to be unchanged, are in fearless mood in spite of the fluid threat posed by Rovers.

"They haven't got one player near the top of the scoring charts but they provide a goal threat all over the pitch," added Wilkins. "They are very fluid and they are a superb passing side, so defensively we will have to be at our very best throughout the team.

"Their away record is superb and they have kept ten clean sheets in the last 16 games, so the stats and the odds are aainst us really but we are not fearful of anybody. We are on our own good run and our home form has been excellent."

Doncaster have several injury worries, with Richie Wellens, Paul Green and Adam Lockwood all rated 50-50. Centre half Graeme Lee is on standby for his first start of the season after returning from a loan spell at Hartlepool.

Meanwhile, Murray will be credited with the winner at Walsall, despite the Press Association giving it as an own goal by Anthony Gerrard. Albion have checked with referee Anthony Taylor, who has confirmed it was Murray's goal.
