Glenn Murray believes he will soon be back among the goals for Albion.

Murray had opportunities to improve his tally of four goals in eight starts in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at his home town club Carlisle.

The former Rochdale marksman and his team-mates have a swift chance to make amends for the setback to their play-off challenge at Walsall tomorrow night.

"The best thing is to play again and try to get back on a winning streak," Murray said. "It was great going back but it would have been so much better leaving with three points.

"When you get the chances then, as long as you hit the target, the keeper has earned his money if he saves it.

"They will hopefully start going in again. If I wasn't getting into the positions then I would be worried."

A combination of Carlisle keeper Keiren Westwood and the woodwork prevented Murray from putting Albion ahead in the first half when he tried to convert a rebound.

"He (Westwood) ricocheted it back on to me and it hit the post," Murray explained. "That summed our day up a little bit.

"We were unlucky to go in 1-0 down at half-time. I thought in the first half the sides were very close. In the second half, to be honest, they opened us up a bit. Once they got the second goal they kept the ball well."

Boss Dean Wilkins must decide whether to bring Dean Cox back into the fold at Walsall after his punishment for ill-discipline stretched to two games.

Andrew Whing goes into the clash against the Saddlers on the brink of an automatic ban for accumulating ten bookings and Dean Bowditch's second loan stint with the Seagulls, due to expire after tomorrow night, may already be over.

He faces a scan today on a recurrence of groin trouble which ruled him out at Carlisle and could signal his return to Ipswich.
