Billy Gilmour has set his sights on more regular playing time with Albion.
The Scotland midfielder signed a four-year deal last night.
He believes he has found the right destination as he leaves Chelsea.
And a couple of former Stamford Bridge colleagues appear to agree.
Gilmour told brightonandhovealbion.com: “For me, Brighton play great football.
“A style I like to play, nice passing.
“The manager is highly thought of as well. He’s really good.
“I thought I wanted to come here.
“I also know a couple of the players here like Levi (Colwill) and Tariq (Lamptey) so I asked them and they have been telling me how good a club it has been.”
Gilmour had five years at Chelsea after coming south from Rangers.
Asked about leaving the west London club, he said: “Of course, it was a tough decision but I wanted to play football. That was the main aim for me.
“Come and enjoy my football, get regular games, so it was a bit of a no-brainer.”
