Neal Maupay is likely to complete a move to Everton.
The Albion striker has been in talks over a switch to Goodison Park.
The Argus has been told this morning his potential move to Everton remains "ongoing" but is “likely to happen”.
Everton boss Frank Lampard today said he is looking at attacking options.
Maupay has been linked with the Toffees during a period of almost two weeks which has also seen Nottingham Forest and Fulham reported to be close to signing him.
Lampard declined to talk specifically about Maupay when quizzed this morning.
He said: "We want to strengthen, that's clear."
Asked whether he was looking for more than one striker, he said: "We will see on the attacking options.
"We are short on attacking options, potentially, especially with the five subs you can use now.
"We are going to see squads more full of players, either starters or really good options to come on, and we want to look in that area."
Maupay has yet to feature in the Premier League for Albion.
The Frenchman also missed the midweek Carabao Cup tie at Forest Green.
Potter and Lampard both hold press conferences today ahead of the weekend fixtures.
