Graham Potter said Albion were given a battle in the Carabao Cup.
But he was happy with a 3-0 second-round win at Forest Green.
The Seagulls head coach admitted: “I wouldn’t say it was comfortable, the scoreline maybe appears that way, but I thought it was a tight game.
“We played well in the first half and deservedly went ahead but then credit to Forest Green, I thought they played well second half, pushed us back.
“We had a few guys that needed some game time, some young players out there that can affect the performance overall.
“But I think if Forest Green had scored it would have made it a lot more difficult for us.
“Thankfully, we could keep a clean sheet and get the first goal.”
