Jeremy Sarmiento is facing more London Stadium frustration.
The Ecuador international is out of tomorrow’s trip to West Ham with a minor knee injury.
The problem, sustained playing for the under-21s last Sunday, also appears to rule him out of the midweek Carabao Cup tie at Forest Green.
Sarmiento made his first Premier League start at West Ham last year but suffered a hamstring injury which ruled him out of much of the campaign.
His current season should not be on hold for too long.
Sarmiento went down just 13 minutes into the 21s’ 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Lancing.
Head coach Graham Potter said yesterday: “He is okayish. Hopefully, it will just be days.
“He felt something in the back of his knee.
“It should be the back end of next week will be the diagnosis at the moment."
Sarmiento has been on the bench for the senior team this season and was given game time for the 21s.
He did not appear in great distress after leaving the Liverpool game.
He watched the rest of the match from the technical area and paused for a chat with his family on the way to the changing room at half-time.
