Graham Potter says Albion have a big week ahead as they prepare for the Premier League.
The head coach was delighted with the 5-1 win over Espanyol, in which Leandro Trossard scored a 14-minute hat-trick in the second half.
Attention now turns to what is likely to be a far tougher test at Manchester United on Sunday.
Potter said: “It was a good performance, with lots of positives.
“We’ll take that and we know we’ve got a good week ahead to prepare for a tough start.
“We’re as happy as you can be with pre-season in terms of the spirit of the players and how we’re coming together but still a bit of work to do.”
Adam Webster and Lewis Dunk scored with headers before Trossard took over.
Potter said: “I thought we attacked well, created some chances and it probably should have been a couple more at half-time.
“We were the dominant team throughout the game and I think the scoreline reflected that in the end.
“It was nice for us to get the goals and Leo to score three. It’s quite unusual so we’ll take that.”
