Sussex seamer Brad Currie has told of his delight at a stunning first-class debut at Lord’s.
The on-trial bowler took 6-93 in the Championship match against Middlesex.
He was promoted from 2nd XI cricket after a three-for against the same county at Horsham last week.
Currie said: “You could see from my celebrations it meant a lot to me, even to get one.
Watched a young left armer Brad Currie bowl beautifully for Sussex yesterday on a very good batting pitch. Thoroughly deserved his 6 wickets .

“I was saying to Ari (Karvelas, fellow trialist) as well, I just want the first one to be a good wicket. I didn’t want it to be caught at deep square leg or something.
“Just to be playing for Sussex, playing in the County Championship, you’ve just got to let the emotions out sometimes.
“Negative ones you have to try and control and put on a brave face, but when those wickets were falling it was just pure elation.”
Middlesex were bowled out for 485, giving Sussex a first-innings lead of 38 going into the final day of what looks a near-certain draw.
