Albion stepped up the playing time for several players last night - with seven getting an hour of action.
Graham Potter again went with three at the back and wing-backs in the friendly against Estoril.
The Seagulls restored their internationals who were back from holiday.
It is too early to read much into who played and where.
But the match had a bit more of a feel of the real thing than the previous week's exercise against Royale Union St-Gilloise.

Robert Sanchez was in goal for 45 minutes, Kjell Scherpen playing the second half.
A back three of Joel Veltman, Lewis Dunk and Marc Cucurella were replaced at the hour mark by, from right, Jan Paul van Hecke, Shane Duffy and Matt Clarke.
That represented a change of role for van Hecke, who was at the centre of the three versus USG a week earlier.
Solly March also made way on the hour.
He had played at right wing-back and Julio Enciso took over down that flank.
Leandro Trossard played the first half down the left and was replaced at half-time by Kaoru Mitoma.
Neither Mitoma nor Enciso seemed to have much defensive responsibility, though that may have been due to the way the match was going.
The deep-lying midfield pair of Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister made way at the interval for Adam Lallana and Steven Alzate.
Pascal Gross was ahead of them and he got an hour before Jeremy Sarmiento took his place.
Further forward, Danny Welbeck and Neal Maupay played an hour apiece.
Evan Ferguson, who did not appear against USG, and Deniz Undav went on for the last half-hour.
Tariq Lamptey, Adam Webster and Enock Mwepu were all named on the team sheet but did not get on.
Their absence was reported to be precautionary, with no issues, as Albion managed their players carefully after a tough week of work at the Cidade Do Futebol, next door to the old National Stadium in Lisbon.
