Jeremy Sarmiento is ready to cut short his holiday in the quest for full match fitness.
The Albion winger has revealed he will report back at the end of the month, despite international action.
Sarmiento, who celebrates his 20th birthday today, went on as a substitute twice in Ecuador’s friendly matches in the USA.
He then played the first 45 minutes against Cape Verde as he eases his way back after hamstring issues.
Sarmiento told a press conference: “It has been a very difficult season for me.
“I have played several games, it has been a great season too.
“I have taken that step in my career that is playing professional football.
“Now I have to rest, have a holiday, enjoy time with the family, take some time off and then continue working.

“After this free time that I am going to have, I am going to meet again with the team (Albion) on June 28.
“I was supposed to have three or four more weeks (on holiday).
“But, because of the injury, my team want to have more time and work with me a lot more.”
Sarmiento revealed Albion are taking good care of him after he suffered a season-changing hamstring injury at West Ham in December.
He added: “I had a big hamstring injury on the left side.
“With my club in England we decided to go little by little.
“Now, in these three friendlies, I felt very good.

“I have to go easy because otherwise it can happen to me again.
“Going step by step, everything is fine. I imagine that I will be fine for all the games that are coming up.”
