Julio Enciso’s club president has revealed why he believes Albion are just right for his player – after reporting interest from several major teams.

The Paraguayan teen is reportedly expected to join the Seagulls in the coming days, though there remains as yet no confirmation of a completed deal.

Ruben Di Tore, president of Enciso's current club Libertad in Asuncion, revealed the player will travel to England on Tuesday afternoon.

He was close to joining the Seagulls in January.

Di Tore told Universo 970 radio: “I personally had contact for Enciso with people from Arsenal, Manchester City, Atalanta, Nice and Red Bull.

“We opted for Brighton because we are interested in the player progressing, that the club that wants him treats him well.”

Di Tore expects Enciso to sign a five-year deal and has been impressed by Albion’s way of doing business.

He said: “They are very serious and very professional people.

“They came here to get to know about the structure of the club. Very serious.

“It couldn’t happen (in January) but, later on, negotiations continued.

“Other offers came from other clubs and we gave some priority to Brighton.”

Di Tore believes Enciso can blaze a trail for other talented Paraguayans.

He added: “Let him be an example to other boys of what is possible working hard and looking after yourself.
