GORDON GREER has been promoted to the role of pathway development manager as David Weir’s first appointment.
The former Albion skipper takes on the role which is also known as 'loan manager' with the responsibility of overseeing the career development of Albion’s on loan players at other clubs in England and abroad.
Technical director David said: “Gordon has been working in the club’s recruitment team since October 2019, and this is a natural progression for him having covered the role since the New Year.
“He has a great knowledge of the club, our aims and ambitions, both as a player and member of the scouting team and has been working with our players out on loan for some time.”
The club is also looking for an assistant technical director that will report to Weir now he has been appointed technical director following Dan Ashworth's exit to Newcastle.
He was initially promoted to the role as assistant technical director last December, before stepping into the role of acting technical director in February.
