DENIZ UNDAV has admitted that Albion was the "attractive" option leading to his decision to sign for the club.
It was announced in January that the German forward would join the Seagulls in the summer after completing the season with Union SG on loan.
Undav helped Union to a top spot finish in the Jupiler Pro League, but was unable to help win the championship play offs.
The striker has now suggested that Albion were not the only club chasing his signature and that there were two clubs in Belgium that wanted to sign him.
However, the lure of the Premier League and Albion appealed more to Undav, who is hopeful of earning a starting spot at the Amex Stadium.
He told Belgian media: "I had other options. There were also two interested parties in Belgium, but that never became concrete and in any case I would have found Brighton more attractive.
"The Premier League, my friend. I realize that the difference in level with the Jupiler Pro League will be large. And yet I think I can lay claim to a starting spot.
"I believe I will succeed in England. If I work hard enough, I have all the qualities to do something for Brighton."
Undav will have Neal Muapay and Danny Welbeck to compete with next season for the striker position, but if he is able to convert his blistering form from Belgium into English football then he could become a star at the club.
