A MAN arrested alongside an Albion player on suspicion of sexual assault has had his conditional bail extended.
The man, in his 40s, was arrested at The Arch, in Kings Road, Brighton, on October 6 last year after a woman reported being sexually assaulted.
The footballer, who is in his 20s, was also arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has remained under investigation while enquiries continue.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "A man in his 40s from Brighton who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has had his conditional bail extended until June 6, 2022."
He said a man in his 20s, also from Brighton, who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, was released under investigation while enquiries continue.
"No further information is available at this time," he added.
