Enock Mwepu has revealed the top-ten target which is driving Albion through the Premier League run-in.
But he believes there could be even better things ahead next season.
The Zambia midfielder is expected to have a part to play at home to Southampton tomorrow (2pm).
Albion return home after taking six points from a tough run of three away games.
Wins at Arsenal and Tottenham took them back into the top half of the table and Mwepu says staying there is a target among the squad.
He told The Argus: “We haven’t picked up many points at home so we are trying by all means to get the three points and make fans happy.
“As a club we have a target of finishing in the top ten.
“We have to keep that rhythm and keep going.
“That is a specific target so we are trying by all means to really finish strongly.”
Mwepu’s three league and cup goals have all come away from home in a season hindered by injury.
He said: “This season hasn’t been easy for me, in and out of the team.
“But the team have done so many things.
“We have had some setbacks here and there but there are so many positives which we can take.
“I believe next season we hope for the best and hopefully we can finish in a better position.”
