ALBION suffered their fifth defeat on the bounce after goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah claimed victory for Liverpool at the Amex Stadium.
Diaz scored a header after beating Sanchez to the ball after being picked out by Joel Matipe and Salah doubled the tally from the spot for the visitors.
Graham Potter made five changes following their 2-1 defeat at Newcastle.
Yves Bissouma, Neal Maupay, Alexis Mac Allister, Solly March and Joel Veltman were all brought into the team.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made one change following the win against West Ham.
Joel Matip was preferred in the centre of defence to Ibrahima Konate, who was not included in the matchday squad.
Albion started the game the better side and had a couple of food chances to take the lead inside the first ten minutes of the game.
Maupay flashed an effort wide from 25 yards on the four-minute mark before Leandro Trossard fired straight at Alisson from 20 yards three minutes later.
March also had a brilliant opportunity to set up a goal after Mac Allister's brilliant bit of individual skill to go past Fabinho. The winger, however, could not find an Albion shirt in the box with his pass.
Liverpool did start to get into the game after Albion's dangerous-looking start with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz looking lively, however, they struggled to break down Potter's resilient defence.
Despite being much the better side for the opening portion of the game, it was Albion that fell behind in the 19th minute.
Joel Matip played a brilliant through ball behind the Albion backline and Columbian forward Luis Diaz managed to beat Sanchez to the ball with his head and nod the ball into the goal.
Liverpool continued to look the most likely to grab the game's second goal as Andre Robertson and Mohamed Salah both had chances to test Sanchez, but on both occasions, the ball was sent over the bar and into the stands.
Sadio Mane had two good chances to double the Reds lead on the half-hour mark. But the Senegalese forward both times lacked power in his efforts, the first with his head and the second with his feet.
Salah then went close to nicking another goal for the visitors during a counter attack following an Albion corner in the 42nd minute.
The Egyptian winger was sent away by Jordan Henderson and collected the ball 45 yards from goal. Salah carried the ball past Yves Bissouma and all the way into the Albion six-yard box until he was finally denied by a Sanchez save.
Potter made on change at halftime as Steven Alzate was replaced by former Red Adam Lallana.
The second half almost started in perfect fashion for Albion. Maupay did a brilliant job of getting the ball forward and he managed to set up Trossard with a clear sight of goal.
The Belgian forward, however, was leaning back and skied his effort over the bar.
Despite only being on the pitch for five minutes, Lallana was substituted for Pascal Gross after pulling up with an injury.
In the 54th minute, referee Mike Dean was at the centre of the action as he pulled back Bissouma for a high foot on Keita. The Malian midfielder looked to have won the ball and was set to create a good attacking moment.
Bissouma was then booked for complaining to Dean.
A minute later, Liverpool almost took advantage of the moment as Salah hit the crossbar with a deflected effort. The shot was blocked by captain Lewis Dunk who did enough to stop the goal.
Salah did get his goal, on the hour mark. The Reds won a penalty for a blatant handball by Bissouma as the Malian tried to stop a Keita shot.
The Egyptian forward fired down the middle of the goal as Sanchez dived to his left.
After the goal there was some controversy as Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson carried the ball out of his box. Replays showed the Brazilian's feet well out of his 18-yard box, but nothing was given.
There was then a stoppage in play as Salah went down after a 50/50 challenge.
After the stoppage, both sides made changes as Danny Welbeck replaced Bissouma, for Liverpool Salah and Keita were subbed by Thiago and Diogo Jota.
In the 74th minute, Mac Allister went into the book for a late tackle on Jota. Six minutes later, Maupay was cautioned after he caught Alisson while chasing down the ball.
Welbeck almost got one back for Albion in the 87th minute. March did well to get a low cross in from the left, and the 31-year-old was first to it.
The former England striker's first-time effort looked to be heading in but was well saved by Alisson.
March then went close to scoring for Albion in the 92nd minute, as he managed to hold off Matip and get a shot away but Alisson was there again to save.
