In-demand Ollie Tanner might have played his last game for Lewes.
The Pitching In Isthmian League club are ready to pull him out of their game at home to Cray Wanderers tomorrow.
Lewes have a host of injury worries but want to protect Tanner ahead of a potentially life-changing move. .
Tanner is understood to have been of interest to Albion although it is thought a deal with the Seagulls now looks unlikely.
Tottenham are reported by The Athletic to be his likely destination.
Lewes boss Tony Russell said today: “We have got an offer on the table from a Premier League club.
“He has done four days’ training and the club want him.
"He hasn't agreed anything yet, he is still a Lewes player.
"But we are quite far down the line. We will know more in the next 24 hours."
Tanner played in the 2-2 draw at home to Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday amid talk of a potential big move.
Russell said: “He is very level-headed and it hasn’t really affected him.
“However, Saturday was probably the worst game he has had for us.
“I don’t think it’s the pressure of football that’s bothering him.
“I think it’s all the outside stuff.
“A lot of stuff has been written on social media, he has been getting messages.
“To be fair he hasn’t said anything to me but I can only envisage myself at 19 years old.
“Could I handle it? Probably not as well as he has done, to be honest.
“He is very laidback and has got a good mindset. I’ve been speaking to him every day and our dressing room is very good.
“We have got boys who have been pros so he gets his information.
“He is fine but we are trying to make the best decision for him right now.
“The quicker we can get this worked out for all parties, the quicker we can all move on.”
Lewes would bank an initial fee plus potential add-ons.
Russell said: “The money will make a huge impact on the football club if that is the offer that gets accepted.
“For a boy who didn’t have a club four-and-a-half months ago, who we brought in on trial to have a look at, it’s fantastic for the club.”
Tanner was released by Bromley and had been on loan at Folkestone.
