Graham Potter has praised Albion’s performance against Crystal Palace.
But he admitted his players were disappointed with a point.
Neal Maupay forced a late own goal to secure a 1-1 draw at the Amex.
Albion earlier had a Pascal Gross penalty saved, a Neal Maupay goal disallowed and saw a Jakub Moder shot hit the bar.
Danny Welbeck was inches from heading an injury-time winner.
Head coach Potter said of his team: “I think they will be disappointed because we haven’t won the game and that is what we tried to do.
“As you can tell from our performance, they gave everything in the game.
“They played with real intensity, real positivity.
“In the first half especially we were really dominant and, if we are honest, we should have gone in a goal ahead to reflect that dominance.
“Again the performance was brilliant. I really liked it, I really liked everything they did.
“It is hard sometimes to keep going when you have had a bit of a setback which is you don’t take the lead.
“We missed the penalty but to keep going, I thought we did that really well.
“They scored a disappointing goal but our reaction to that was great. The fans were brilliant.
“In the end we wanted to win, we are disappointed we haven’t won but it’s a really good performance and a point that keeps us moving.”
