KACPER Kozlowski has joined Albion with a lot of hype as one of the most promising players in Europe.

The midfielder is the youngest player to represent his nation at the Euros after he played for Poland at Euro 2020.

Kozlowski has joined Albion for a fee of £8 million on a contract until June 2026.

He will spend the first six months of his contract out on loan at Royale Union St Gilloise, where Albion will keep an eye on his progress and plan for his summer arrival at the club.

Polish football journalist Alan Rzepa told the Argus: "Kacper Kozłowski is a very interesting type of midfielder.

"He's got immense attacking qualities with a great eye for a pass and, despite being only 18, he knows exactly where to be and what to do inside the penalty box.

"His dribbling and finishing abilities are very, very good as he often likes to fool defenders by marking shots and passes and then accelerating away.

"In addition, he looks very physical and just football smart when moving around the pitch, covering spaces between the lines.

"I'm not sure how well he's going to cope with the physical aspect of the Premier League, so it might take him a few months to really get going but given he's pretty much a regular for the Polish national team, I have no doubts that he is the real deal.

"You can always tell by his movement and decision-making that everything he does is always well though, and he's very confident in his decisions, even if they don't always work out."

Rzepa has predicted that he will be able to fit into manager Graham Potter's variety of systems. This could make him a valuable member of the first team if he fulfils his potential.

He said: "In terms of how he'd suit Brighton and Hove Albion, I can see him very much excelling in a half-wing role if Graham Potter continues to play the 3-4-3 formation or as the sole attacking midfielder behind two strikers.

"With a bit of work on his defensive attributes, he could as well be turned into a fantastic box-to-box midfielder."

Kozlowski has been predicted to become a player at a very high level.

Rzepa told the Argus: "If he fully realises his talent, he could be a very solid and good midfielder for a Europa League or even Champions League calibre team.

"I would fully expect him to get a per se 'big move' in a few years, with Albion cashing in a nice profit."
