ALBION boss Graham Potter has given a positive injury update on Lewis Dunk.
The captain has been out injured since the 1-1 draw against West Ham United and was revealed that he had picked up an injury to his knee ligaments.
The manager has confirmed that the defender has an outside chance of being back for Albion's match against Crystal Palace on Jan 14.
Potter said: "He is making good progress. He got Christmas out the way, and they started to progress quickly, so that is clever from him, only kidding.
"He is doing well, he was out on the grass today still training on his own but was on the grass doing some running.
"Outside chance for Crystal Palace.
"He is out of that [knee brace] so he has been moving about running on the grass and kicking ball so it is good."
Albion have coped since the captain picked up his injury with Dan Burn stepping up with some solid performances in the defence.
Since Dunk picked up his injury, he has missed four games, Albion have only lost once and have drawn two and won one. This means they have kept their spot in the top ten of the Premier League table.
