ALBION boss Graham Potter is "hopeful" forward Leandro Trossard will be available for the next match.

The Belgian forward missed the draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge due to fatigue and the club not wanting to risk a major injury to the player.

Potter has confirmed that Trossard has returned to training ahead of the match on Sunday.

He told the media: "He has trained today, so that is good news for us.

"We will see how he reacts, it wasn't so much an injury, more fatigue and precaution based on the tight turnaround of the games.

"We are hopeful that he will be available."

Trossard has been in fine form this season, scoring four goals and assisting one more in 17 appearances.

Striker Jurgen Locadia has also returned to training after his absence due to illness.

Potter said: "He's been training, he was knocked with some illness, so we've been building him up.

"He's trained again today. He is getting there.

The manager also confirmed the club are in a good state regarding Covid-19 issues.

He said: "Touch wood, we are fine. At the moment, we're in a good place."
