ALBION defender Adam Webster is hoping to cause an upset when he and his teammates take on Chelsea tonight.
The match against the Blues follows Albion's win 2-0 against Brentford on Boxing Day at the Amex Stadium.
That win was the team's first in 12 games in all competitions and now Webster believes confidence can be taken from it going forward and in the match against Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea team.
On Albion's website he said: "We know how good Chelsea are, they had a good win on Boxing Day and they’ve got one of the best squads in the league, probably in the top three in the Premier League.
"Last year we went toe-to-toe with them at Stamford Bridge and could have beaten them.
"The win over Brentford has given us confidence going into the Chelsea match, we want to give it a real go.”
The 26-year-old defender has struggled with injuries this season but has recovered from his latest setback as he made his return against Brentford.
He is hoping the club can keep pace and earn a top ten spot in the Premier League table at the end of the season.
He said: “We had such a good start, it’s been frustrating to have not kicked on. But you’re going to have times in the season where you’re going to be struggling to get results and that’s always going to happen in the Premier League.
“We want to try and make the top ten and the win over Brentford has pushed us in the right direction.
"We’ve got a tough game to come against Chelsea, but we’re looking to get a result. We’re capable of finishing in the top half.”
