Florin Andone has scored his first competitive goal for Cadiz.
But his loan stint is still expected to be cut short next month.
The Albion striker headed home to secure a 1-0 win at Albacete in the Spanish Cup as Cadiz rotated their squad.
He has struggled for game time at the LaLiga Santander outfit since joining early this season.
Sporting Gijon are reported to be following his situation closely although the second-tier outfit would struggle to afford his wages.
Andone said of his goal: “It was a moment of liberation.
“I am trying to work the best I can to get minutes, be in the manager’s plans.
“The goal brought me a feeling of relief and of desire to keep working to gain rhythm and help the team.”
Covid-related concerns permitting, Cadiz return to league action when they face Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Sunday.
