ALBION keeper Robert Sanchez has been rated as one of the best in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has been immense for the Seagulls since he earned the starting spot at the club following loan spells at Forest Green Rovers and Rochdale.

Sanchez took over from Australian stalwart Maty Ryan after his form started to decline for Albion.

The Spaniard has also become a regular in his nation's international set-up after he was called up to the team by coach Luis Enrique.

After being recognised by Albion fans and his nation as an exceptional goalkeeper, he has now been rated as one of the best in England's top division.

Whoscored.com, a football stats site, has rated Sanchez as the fifth-best goalkeeper in the Premier League.

The Albion stopper finished above Argentina and Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez, France captain and Tottenham man Hugo Lloris, West Ham veteran Lukasz Fabianski and Manchester City's Ederson.

The only keepers rated higher than Sanchez were Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, Chelsea's Edouard Mendy, Liverpool's Alisson and Leeds United's Illan Meslier.

Sanchez was given a rating of 6.74 out of ten, only just behind the top-placed keeper Ramsdale, who was given a 7.02 out of ten.
