Shane Duffy was involved at both ends as the Republic of Ireland ended their World Cup campaign on a high.
A 3-0 success in Luxembourg saw them leapfrog their hosts into third spot as top two Portugal and Serbia contested top spot in Lisbon.
Danel Sinani thought he had put Luxembourg ahead on 54 minutes and was well into his celebration.
But Hungarian referee Tamas Bognar ruined his evening by blowing for a foul on Duffy by substitute Maurice Deville during the build-up.

Luxembourg’s misery increased 22 minutes from time when Josh Cullen’s free-kick was diverted to Duffy at the far post and he adjusted his stance before powering it into the net from point-blank range to open the scoring.
Duffy can now report back for duty with Albion as they prepare to visit Aston Villa.
