Jeremy Sarmiento has made his senior international debut for Ecuador.
The Albion prospect – who has yet to play a minute in the Premier League - went on as sub during a World Cup qualifier versus Bolivia.
He helped Ecuador see out a comfortable 3-0 win which boosts their chances of reaching Qatar next year.
Sarmiento, born In Madrid, has never hidden his wish to pay for Ecuador, the country of his parents.
With ‘La Tri’ three goals up just past the hour mark, Ecuador coach Gustavo Alfaro saw his chance to give the 19-year-old his debut.
Alfaro said: “Jeremy Sarmiento is adjusting to this reality of the national team.
