REPORTS have emerged that Liverpool are "preparing" a move for Albion star Yves Bissouma.
The Malian midfielder has become one of the club's key players since he arrived from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2018.
Bissouma was linked with transfers to Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal during the summer transfer window, but a move never materialised much to the Albion fan's relief.
However, it is now being reported that Liverpool is now planning a £30 million bid for the player.
Reports have come from the journalist Ekrem Konur as well as the Transfer Window Podcast, which is hosted by Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castles.
It goes on to say that Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are the other clubs that are still interested in signing Bissouma.
However, Konur goes further and says that Klopp is a big admirer of Bissouma and has been on his radar for a while.
The report also says that the Reds are preparing to make an offer to sign the player in the upcoming January transfer window and will meet Albion's valuation of Bissouma.
However, the reported fee of £30 million is below the value that Albion has of Bissouma. It has been said that the club, should they sell, would expect a fee of more than £40 million.
Albion does not seem to be in need of selling another one of their star players after they allowed Ben White to leave the club in the summer for a fee in the region of £50 million.
Chairman Tony Bloom has proved that the club will not give in to the pressure to sell a player for less than their value.
This was shown during Leeds United's pursuit of White last summer when the club rejected multiple bids from the Yorkshire side.
Albion have also consistently said that they are not willing to let Bissouma leave the club.
If a move is to Liverpool does come to fruition, the numbers involved will have to be increased to convince Albion into a sale.
Bissouma has missed the last few games for the Seagulls due to a knee injury he picked up against Leicester City last month. However, with the international break starting, he has time to recover.
