ALBION midfielder Enock Mwepu has been praised for his performance against Cardiff City.
The summer signing was crucial to the Seagulls' success in the Carabao Cup victory as he set up Jakub Moder's opening goal.
The midfielder also provided experience and energy all over the pitch for a very young side that manager Graham Potter fielded.
Mwepu made two tackles, one interception and one clearance in his 80 minutes on the pitch as he contributed plenty of defensive work to go along with his assist.
Potter said: "He did really well for the goal, a fantastic bit of play and all night, he played the role really well for us and used his physicality up and down the pitch in a great way."
"He gave us options up and down the pitch if we wanted to go long, so we are really happy with him."
Mwepu, however, was forced to be substituted after picking up a knock during the game.
Fans will be relieved to hear that Graham Potter has also given a positive update on his injury.
He said: "He is not too bad, he was a bit sore initially but feel better now.
"We will see over the next 24 hours how he settles down. Hopefully, it is not too bad."
