Brighton head coach Graham Potter has praised his players for the way they attacked and defended in their 2-0 win over Watford at the Amex.
The Seagulls took a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to goals from Shane Duffy and Neal Maupay.
However, in the second half Albion had to defend well as with Watford have four strikers on the pitch at one point.
But Potter was full of praise for the way his side attacked during the match and how well they defended their own box in the second half.
He said: “I thought we played well I said before the game I think you have to attack well against Watford because they have so many good players if the ball turns over and they attack big spaces as well as anybody.
“So, it was important that our structure was good, we attack with a good understanding.
“It was a fantastic first goal from Shane, a great header, a great delivery from Pascal (Gross) and then the second goal from a good pressing action which we have tried to improve and it was a nice goal from Neal.
“Probably the 2-0 was a deserved scoreline for our performance.
“Then as you expect the opposition respond and we have to defend and we still had a couple of chances ourselves.
“But we have to defend our box well which we did, they put on a lot of forward players but we still managed the game well and it is a fantastic three points for us and I am really pleased for the players.”
