Brighton defender Leo Ostigard looks set to head out on loan to the Championship again.
The 21-year-old defender, who has one year left on his current deal, looks likely to sign a new contract before heading out on loan to Stoke City.
The Argus understands that Ostigard is currently at Stoke’s training ground ahead of a season-long loan move to Michael O'Neill’s side.
It would be the third season in a row that Ostigard has spent on loan away from Albion, having been on loan at Stoke’s sister club, St Pauli in 2019/20 and then fellow Championship side Coventry last season.
He was a regular for the Sky Blues where he made 40 appearances in all competitions scoring three goals and getting two assists.
Head coach Graham Potter had been keen to take a closer look over Ostigard during pre-season, especially with Ben White have left to join Arsenal at the end of last month.
However, after impressing as a substitute in their friendlies against Rangers and Luton, Ostigard found himself playing just one minute in their defeat to Getafe on Saturday with Adam Webster and skipper Lewis Dunk returning to the side.
