Lewis Dunk expects to finish his career with Albion.

The centre-back and captain is closing in on 350 senior appearances for his home town club.

He has been linked with moves away in recent years – though not this summer so far.

But he told TalkSPORT he could hang up his boots with the Seagulls.

Dunk, who turns 30 in November, said: “I take it probably season by season but it is probably always in the back of your head.

“This is the only place I’ve known really.

“I had two games at Bristol City (on loan) but this is the only place I’ve known and I’ve been at in my whole career.

“I don’t see myself going anywhere until I retire.

“I’ve got a contract until I’m 33 now so after that we will see how the body is holding up and how much more I can go.

“At the moment I see myself being a one club man and it’s a rare thing these days. Not many do it.

“It’s an enjoyable place, it’s my home town so it’s a good place to do it.”

Dunk spoke about how he enjoys playing for head coach Graham Potter.

The skipper added: “He’s probably one of the best I’ve had as a coach.

“His ideas and his philosophies are another level to what I have probably experienced in my career so far.

BRIGHTON HOPE FOR MORE LEANDRO TROSSARD MAGIC

“The way he works, how laid back and relaxed he makes the training ground, gets the squad together is very good.

“I think it showed in the way we played last year.

“Obviously the results didn’t come at times but the way we played and you could see our philosophy and how hard we work on the training pitch for him.

“He has been a pleasure to work with so far.”
