Graham Potter believes Albion got what they needed from their run out against Getafe.
But he agreed they were better in the second half than the first.
The Seagulls went down 2-0 to Spanish opposition, conceding in each half.
They hit the bar through Adam Webster and had several other chances in the second half.
There were also the first minutes of pre-season for defenders Lewis Dunk and Webster after minor injuries.
Leandro Trossard followed them into the action at half-time and looked lively.
Head coach Potter said: “It was a good tough game against a team who are really well-organised.
“It was what you want from the last match of pre-season.
“The first half was a bit even but we weren’t quite as good as we like to be.
“But credit to them, they had a good shape.

“In the second half, I thought we played better. We were more threatening for sustained periods.
“In the end the result is what it is but pleasing for us that we get Lewis and Adam more time on the pitch.”
