Danny Welbeck wants to see more magic from Raheem Sterling after his “electric” start to Euro 2020.
England aim to reach the last eight when they tackle Germany at Wembley today.
Albion striker Welbeck believes Sterling, who scored both their goals in the group stage, could be key for the Three Lions.
He said: “Raheem has obviously been pivotal with the goals.
“He set the tone in the first game (versus Croatia). His display in that match was electric.
“that set him on his way and hopefully he can keep up those performances.
“There was a lot of talk beforehand about him starting the game but somebody of that quality, with the power he possesses on the pitch and how he can hurt teams, being dangerous, being a threat all the time, runs in behind, it’s not something that surprises me at all.

“I’m looking forward to him disturbing a lot more defences in the coming games.”
Welbeck believes Sterling has the right mentality for the high pressure knockout stages.
He told brightonandhovealbion.com: “Mentally there are not many that are stronger than him.
“To go through what he has been through and then to keep going and proving people wrong game after game, season after season.
“I’m really pleased he has been putting in some great performances in this tournament and I want to see him do much more.”
