Alexis Mac Allister has been given the green light for the Olympics, according to his Argentina under-23s boss.
Fernando Batista reported the Albion midfielder has been given clearance by his club for the Games in Tokyo later this summer.
Mac Allister sat out the recent training camp in Marbella, which included two friendlies, and spent the time resting with family at home in Argentina instead.
Batista will name his initial 22-man group for Tokyo next week and will later reduce that to 18.
Mac Allister is almost certain to make the final cut.

BRIGHTON'S PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURES FOR 2021-22
The tournament will cut across Albion’s pre-season but could see Mac Allister return in great shape to tackle his second complete Premier League campaign.
Argentina are in a group with Egypt, Spain and Australia, against whom they open their campaign on Thursday, July 22.
Albion head coach Graham Potter has always been keen for Mac Allister to get some rest while also recognising his desire to represent his country.
