Leandro Trossard says Albion have turned him into a different player.
But it might not be enough to secure playing time in Belgium’s all-star squad.
Trossard remained on the bench as the Red Devils opened Euro 2020 with a 3-0 win over Russia.
They are in Copenhagen to face Denmark tomorrow.
Roberto Martinez is again likely to name Trossard among his subs.
The Seagulls star: “I’ve made progress but that’s logical when you play in a stronger competition like the Premier League.
“In comparison with my time at Genk, when I got my first cap, I’ve become a different player.
“The manager (Martinez) sees this as well, but I’ll have to keep on proving myself.
“You’re always hoping for minutes.
“I try to show myself at training so the coach knows I’m ready when he needs me.
“I believe I can contribute with a through pass or a goal.”
Trossard took three days out of training with a muscular problem.
But he is keen now to add to the goal against Manchester City late in the season which was noticed back in his homeland.
He said: “Maybe not my most beautiful one but certainly the one against the biggest team.
“I was buzzing, mainly because we won the game as well.”
The Danes return to action after traumatic events involving Christian Eriksen on Saturday.
Trossard has not spoken about it with his former Genk colleague Joakim Maehle, who plays for Atalanta.
He said: “We’ll talk after the game. It was a big hit for him though.
"But those kinds of events you probably have to work through yourself. It will be a special match, that’s for sure.”
