Albion star Alexis Mac Allister is taking a break in Argentina.
The midfielder was selected for the under-23s’ training camp in Marbella as they prepare for this summer’s Olympics.
But he has stayed at home with his family instead.
That appears to put his participation in Tokyo in doubt although a source in Argentina says a decision over the Olympics has yet to be made.
In a recent press conference (see video above), Albion boss Graham Potter told The Argus it would be important for players to have some rest this summer.

Alexis Mac Allister was listed in the Argentina under-23s squad for their current trip to Marbella
But, equally, he recognised Mac Allister’s desire to represent his country.
Mac Allister had been targeting the Copa America and Olympics this summer.
