Albion are expecting continued speculation over the future of Graham Potter.

But they have received no approach for his services – from Tottenham or anyone else.

Potter is looking forward to a short break after guiding the Seagulls to 16th place in a transitional season in the Premier League.

He continues to be linked with Tottenham after reports that the leading candidates to succeed Jose Mourinho will take a lot of prising from current employers.

Albion’s own stance has not shifted and they have no interest in receiving enquiries for their highly-regarded boss.

It is understood the expectation within the club is that Potter will be consistently linked with Tottenham in some quarters for as long as the vacancy remains.

This is what Albion chief executive Paul Barber said about Graham Potter and Spurs earlier this month. It is understood the situation has not changed from Albion's point of view.

Potter was looking forward to kicking on next season as the campaign ended with a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday.

The Seagulls boss, who had been feeling under the weather, looked drained at the end of that final fixture.
