Robert Sanchez has been told the door is open to play in the Euros.

The Albion goalkeeper has been named as one of three goalkeepers in Spain’s 24-man squad for the forthcoming tournament.

Unai Simon of Athletic de Bilbao is expected to start the three group games in Seville.

But, in his press conference today, boss Luis Enrique reminded reporters he had never been afraid to change his goalkeepers in previous club appointments.

He said: “We are always based on performance.

ALBION 1 REAL MADRID 0 - ROBERT SANCHEZ GETS SPAIN CALL

“It’s certainly a special position but I’ve got no problem. In most teams I’ve rotated goalkeepers, placed my confidence at a given moment in one or another.

“I go a little on the feelings they give me in training.

“I’ve got confidence in the three.

“Pau (Lopez, Roma) has helped us at times but he has had a shoulder injury and operation.

“Kepa (Chelsea) hasn’t played, or has participated a lot less than we would have liked.

“I think these three are doing well and fill me with confidence.”

Sanchez was called up ahead of Lopez and Kepa for the squad when Spain played three World Cup qualifiers recently.
