What a magical night for Albion at the Amex!
Head coach Graham Potter hailed his players for their superb efforts as they beat Premier League champions Manchester City 3-2 in front of 7,900 fans who had returned to the Amex.
The Seagulls produced a great second half comeback not for the first time on home turf this season.
This time they came from 2-0 down to win thanks to goals from substitute Leandro Trossard and defenders Adam Webster and Dan Burn.
Albion had a man advantage for more than 80 minutes after Joao Cancelo was sent off for denying Danny Welbeck a goalscoring opportunity.
But Potter struggled to find enough superlatives for his side after the win.
He said: “Amazing, fantastic to play against the best team, the champions, It was a wonderful test for us.
“But I though the players were superb obviously it helps we up against ten men for so long, it gave us a big advantage.
“But I thought we played well and tried really hard.”
Webster and Burn were both on target for the first time this season and Potter praised his side for how bravely they defended.
He said: “They were in fine form (Burn and Webster) and it was nice for them.
“I thought they defended well, we were brave with our defending from the start, and it was nice for the boys to get a reward.”
