Albion head coach Graham Potter was glad his side managed to get a second goal to kill off the game and secure a 2-0 win over Leeds.
Goals in either half from Pascal Gross from the penalty spot and a lovely touch and finish from Welbeck secure a HUGE three points for the Seagulls which takes them 10 points clear of Fulham in 18th.
But Potter admits it was nice to get a two goal cushion, which Albion have struggled to do this season.
He said: “It was (a massive win). It was a really good performance that ends in a result that is great for us.
“But it was important for us to get the second goal because we have had a lot of times this season where we have been 1-0 up, played well and haven’t managed to get the second one which kills the game off.
“We did that today and it was a great bit of quality from Danny to do that, so overall a massive team performance.”
