Pascal Gross resumed penalty duties for Albion today – and gave them a precious lead at the Amex.
The German midfielder drilled low past Illan Meslier’s right hand on 14 minutes.
Gross hit the woodwork with his most recent previous spot kick, in the 1-0 defeat at West Brom.
Danny Welbeck did likewise later in the same match.

Neal Maupay missed the target at home to Liverpool earlier this season.
Welbeck and Maupay were both on the pitch as Gross spotted the ball up.
The penalty came after Welbeck was tripped by Ezgjan Alioski in an untidy incident following a poor free-kick by Gross delivered from the right.
