Jose Izquierdo has admitted he feared his career was over.
The Albion winger is back in action after two years out with injuries to both knees.
He came off the bench at Sheffield United on Saturday and would love to play a part in the last five games of his current contract.
He has thanked physio Sean Duggan for hard work and dedication in helping him return.
Asked whether he had feared his career might have been over, he told The Argus: “Yes. From the beginning. It’s reality from the beginning.

“That there was the possibility of not playing again.
“In the end, if that possibility is there it’s one thing. For it to happen is another.
“In the end there was nothing to lose.”
The future of Izquierdo beyond this summer remains unclear although his former employers Club Brugge are though to be keen on taking him back.
Izquierdo said: “At the moment I’m just thinking about what is happening here. We still have five games in front of us, very important games. After that we will see what is going on.
“I’d prefer to play in the Premier League for the rest of my life. For me it’s the best league in the world.
“There is nothing better than the Premier League. Being here is an honour.
“If I have the opportunity to stay here, I will.”
