Ollie Robinson is setting the early pace among County Championship wicket-takers.
The Sussex seamer has 20 scalps in the first three rounds of fixtures.
That puts him three ahead of his nearest challengers.
Craig Overton (Somerset), Ryan Higgins (Gloucestershire) and leading spinner Simon Harmer (Essex) each have 17.
Robinson has taken his wickets at 14.35 apiece.
That is a better average than his three aforementioned challengers although Mohammad Abbas has 16 wickets for Hampshire at an average of just 11.18.
Robinson’s strike rate of a wicket every 31 balls is better than any bowler who has more than seven victims.
Sussex opener Tom Haines is joint fifth for Championship runs scored so far this season with 397. He averages 66.16.
Ben Brown is joint fourth for wicketkeeping dismissals with 11.
The skipper has two stumpings so far this season. No keeper has more than that at this early stage.
Sussex host Lancashire at Hove from Thursday while Glamorgan entertain Kent and Yorkshire are at home to Northants.
