Coventry hope that defender Leo Ostigard will be able to return for their trip to Huddersfield on Saturday.

The 21-year-old, who is on a season-long at the Sky Blues from Albion missed out on the squad in their defeat to Preston for only the second time this season due to a thigh injury.

He had a fitness test on Friday but was still too sore to play at the weekend.

However, Coventry boss Mark Robins is hopeful he will be fit for their trip to The John Smith's Stadium.

Speaking to CoventryLive, he said: “He tried to train on Friday and couldn’t but I am hoping he’s going to be fit for this week."

Meanwhile his Albion teammate Viktor Gyokeres made his first start since February in the defeat to Nottingham Forest.

He played 62 minutes before being substituted against Preston and Andy Turner, who covers the Sky Blues for the Coventry live felt they were all flat after their three recent wins to secure safety.

He said: "Viktor has done really well from the bench recently but Saturday was a bit flat all round to be honest.

"They all put so much into the three wins in a week to secure safety that no-one really showed up against Preston."
