Albion are eyeing a Premier League repeat on the road to safety.

But Graham Potter has explained why it will not be easy.

The head coach expects the competitive principles of the Prem, which were highlighted this week as the Super League threat was fended off, to be in evidence at Sheffield United when his side visit tomorrow (8pm).

Albion went to rock-bottom Norwich City at this stage last term, the 33rd fixture, and won 1-0 after a late scare or two to edge close to safety.

Potter said: “I think it’s a slightly different scenario, of course, because it is a different game and I think we have improved as a team since then.

“But my main learning from everything is there are no easy games in this league.

“There is no thought that people just roll over for you. It doesn’t happen.

“It is that special to play in the Premier League. It is that important to play in the Premier League that, even though you are not going to be it next year, you still fight while you play in it.

GRAHAM POTTER EXPLAINS SURPRISE NEW LOOK

“They are professional, they want to how people what they can do.

“That is what we are expecting, absolutely, because Sheffield United are a club with pride, with tradition.

“The players have a history of competing, of a strong mentality.”

Success for Albion at Bramall Lane would force Fulham to take at least 11 points from five games to overhaul them.
