Albion are taking their time with Michal Karbownik.
The young Poland international is not part of the under-23s’ squad taking on Blackburn this afternoon.
He had a full 90 minutes versus Manchester City three weeks ago to follow his senior debut in the FA Cup defeat by Leicester.
Karbownik joined up with the Seagulls in January as his loan back to previous club Legia Warsaw was cut short.
Head coach Graham Potter said “He had a slight injury before he came with us and missed a bit of time.
“He needed that training time, needed some match exposure.
“He got more than probably we planned against Leicester but came through fine.
“That nest under-23s game he played was to just build up that match fitness.
“He is still adapting, he is still a young player.
KEY REASONS FOR BEN ROBERTS' SUCCESS AS COACH
“That is where he is at the moment – competing with us, training every day.
“At the same time we are mindful of where he is at in his career and we need to keep helping him improve.”
