David Lopez says his derby day free-kick was the best goal of his career.
It is eight years today since the Spanish midfielder scored in style at home to Crystal Palace.
His set-piece curled over the wall went in off the underside of the bar to unleash delirium around the Amex.
It followed an opener from Leo Ulloa and sent the Seagulls into a 2-0 half-time lead.
Asked recently whether it was the best goal of his career, David told The Argus: “For what it means, being a derby and the moment, it definitely was.”
Albion won the game 3-0 as Ulloa scored his second.

David, now 38, is still playing. He turns out in midfield for Eldense, who lead their section of the regionalised Spanish fourth tier.
Today is also the second anniversary of the dramatic FA Cup quarter-final at Millwall, which the Seagulls won on penalties having trailed 2-0 very late in the 90 minutes.
